Nipple Reduction Surgery

This surgery is done purely for cosmetic reason. The trend is to favour a smaller and shorter nipple as is the case when they are during the teenager years.

Small Tits: Shortening and decreased diameter of the nipple after nipple reduction surgery. Note also that before the correction surgery, the nipple is not in an erected state, where it is slightly droopy due to gravity effect.

Small Breast: generally has a small areola.

Small Breast: generally has a small areola, small tits. However, in this case it has a big areola but a short nipple.

Short Tits: accompanying generally has a small areola but not always the case.

Drawback of reduction surgery

This is especially true if the shortening is too much. the shortened nipple implies a shortened lactating duct. This may cause folding or kinking of the lactating ducts or the milk duct within the nipple. This will eventually leads to the blockage, and in the free flow of the lactating milk as the baby suckle. So, it is best to do such a surgical procedure after the mother has attained or completed their family size. The blockage can cause infection and mastitis.

The decreasing diameter size of the nipple means a wedge shaped resection of a sector of the nipple away. If the duct is resected, naturally the milk gland produced milk can not flows out freely.

Types

2 types surgical procedures to restore an erect state nipple with short and small size:

Shortening the nipple

Shortening of the nipple entails taking away a strip of circumscribed skin at the base of the nipple where it joins the areola. Then the 2 ends of the skin is then joined back by pulling downward of the outer segment towards the breast.

Here, the milk ducts are normally can be spared easily, provided that the surgeon do not resect the skin too deeply. The only drawback is that the milk duct might be kinked as the outer nipple segment is pulled towards the breast. It happen if the segment is shortened a lot. Again it is best to perform such procedure on the lady who completed their family. Otherwise, the milk secretion might be blocked from expressing out from the mammary gland during pregnancy and lactation.

Decreasing the circumference of nipple

A sectorial resection of the nipple will decrease the diameter of the nipple size. The surgeon can resect a quarter of the circumference away and join back the resected two surfaces. In so doing the size can be decreased significantly.

The only drawback is that some of the milk duct might be resected away. That is why such a procedure is best carried out on hose lady already completed their family.

Resources for other breast related problems

The best is still by surgical means. Dr David Ling aesthetic clinicClinic Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Ling, can use minimally invasive procedure to lift the areolar and glandular complex to a higher position on the upper chest wall.

Breast augmentation using implant can be deployed to replace back the lost volume of the beast and brings about lifting and firming for small breast to medium-sized breast.

For larger or big breastbig areola and big nipple, reshaping the breast through volume redistribution can help. These includes: areola reduction surgery and nipple reduction surgery.
